On April 1, 2010, the Zoo submitted new plans in support of its application for the major conditional use permit. The application for the major conditional use permit was originally submitted in April 2009.

Issues not yet commented on by the Zoo include the latest addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration attached to the 1998 Master Plan. (These documents can be found on our Info page.)

The Oakland Planning Commission has scheduled an informational hearing on these and related matters, for April 21, 6 PM, at City Hall. All interested parties are urged to attend, and invited to request a slot to speak out.
